We leaked one of the stock wallpapers from the OnePlus 6T a few days ago exclusively. Today, we’re going to share the full set of 15 official OnePlus 6T wallpapers (normal and ‘Never Settle’ versions) in FHD+ and 4K resolutions. OP 6T over the 6: the differences

Popular smartphone manufacturer just unveiled their flagship device, the OnePlus 6T earlier today. The smartphone is an incremental upgrade to the successful OnePlus 6 smartphone. Before we jump into the tech specs, let’s see what the OnePlus 6T mainly brings along with it over the OnePlus 6. Firstly and most importantly, the fingerprint scanner is now embedded into the display panel (bottom half of the screen) meaning users can now enjoy an ultimately seamless phone authentication and unlocking experience.

Secondly, the Optic AMOLED display size has been slightly increased from 6.28″ to 6.41″ and also features a smaller water-drop notch which helps shave the bezels top and bottom a bit. Thirdly, users can enjoy even greater battery endurance, all thanks to the large 3,700mAh battery onboard which is 400mAh more than the one onboard the 6. And last but not the least, users will now be able to enjoy an all-new night mode in the camera dubbed Nightscape which gives users the ability to capture brighter pictures with lower noise in low light situations, similar to Night Mode on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Night Sight featured on the Google Pixel 3.

On a sad note, something important and super beneficial and useful is missing from the OnePlus 6T. We didn’t say it, but you guessed it right. Our best friend Jack is missing!

Specifications

The new OnePlus 6T employs the largest on any OnePlus device 6.41″ Full HD+ Optic AMOLED 1080 x 2340 pixels display. The display features a water-drop notch which helps slim the bezels top and bottom ever further. The device is currently the unstoppable of its kind in the Android world meaning it features the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled to an Adreno 630 GPU and 8GB/6GB of RAM and 256GB/128GB of internal storage respectively. Contrary to our previous report, the OnePlus 6T does NOT feature a MicroSD card slot for expandable storage.

OnePlus has also joined Huawei, Vivo and other manufacturers by integrating the fingerprint scanner right into the display. The fingerprint sensor is of the optical variety and so uses the light emitted from the display to seamlessly recognize the user’s finger and successfully unlock the phone.

With that said, the display onboard the OnePlus 6 now features a notch that is way smaller than the one onboard the OnePlus 6, all thanks to the water-drop notch. Speaking of which, the new notch style helps slim down the bezels a bit more compared to the OnePlus 6.

Photography on the OnePlus 6T is handled by a dual camera setup at the rear featuring a primary 16MP (f/1.7 lens) sensor with OIS + secondary 20MP (f/1.7 lens) (2x telephoto) sensor assisted by a dual LED flash. Again, a 16MP camera (f/2.0 lens) is up front for selfieholics. The camera at the front can record videos at a resolution of up to 1080p @ 30fps and the rear shooter is capable of recording videos at a resolution of up to 4K @ 60/30 fps, slow motion 1080p @ 240fps and 720p @ 480 fps.

Again as mentioned earlier, the camera software onboard the OnePlus 6T features an all-new night mode called Nightscape. The Nightscape feature allows you to capture better and brighter images at night or extremely challenging low-light situations and also reduce noise in images drastically.

Battery, connectivity and Android OS

A large 3700mAh is onboard the OnePlus 6T to outlast the endurance of the OnePlus 6. Speaking of which, the device still retains the super-efficient DASH charging (5V x 4A = 20W) (a USB-C port is onboard) to help the device top itself up supremely fast in the morning.

Coming to the connectivity side of the OnePlus 6T, it has got you covered with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 with for support aptX & aptX HD, GPS and more. Again a USB Type-C port for charging is onboard the device. Oh, and by the way, the device does NOT feature the good old 3.5mm audio jack we all love, so OnePlus has finally axed the audio jack.

The OnePlus 6T runs on OxygenOS based on stock Android 9.0 Pie out of the box featuring necessary customization wherever needed.

You can pre-book the OnePlus 6T via Amazon India website. Sales will start on November 1 in India and North America and launch on November 6 in Europe. The 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants of the device will set you back $550, $580 and $630 respectively. With that said, the OnePlus will now be offered on T-Mobile in the USA. As far as color options are concerned, it will be available in understated Midnight Black or glossy Mirror Black.
