A few days ago Huawei unveiled their revamped Nova lineup which includes Nova 6, Nova 6 5G and Nova SE. The Nova 6 5G and Nova 6 are flagships slotted in the Nova series of smartphones and the Nova SE a mid-range device. This year Huawei reimagined the popular Nova lineup with fresh specs and 5G capability. The Nova 6 5G is basically a Nova 6 with 5G functionality and an ever so slightly larger battery. With that said, the Nova 5G equips a large 6.57″ Full HD+ AMOLED panel. The AMOLED display is cutout to feature dual selfie cams making it a punch-hole display. The resolution and aspect ratio of the screen is 1080 x 2400 pixels and 20:9 respectively.
Providing power is an in-house Kirin 990 SoC coupled with a Mali-G76 MP16 GPU. As for the RAM, you just have 8GB worth of multi-tasking power. As far as storage is concerned, the Huawei Nova 6 5G comes with 128GB and 256GB of internal memory. Biometric authentication is here in the form of your fingerprint. The fingerprint sensor is situated at the side of the phone.
Dual selfie, triple primary
At the front-side of the Huawei Nova 6, 5G sits two cameras. A 32MP main shooter along with an 8MP (ultra-wide) secondary sensor. Flip the Nova 6 5G and we do have a three-cam system at the back. As in, a 40MP main sensor along with an 8MP telephoto and 8MP ultra-wide cams is available. Both cams at the back and front are able to record videos at 4K @ 60 fps and 4K @ 30 fps respectively.
Battery power, pricing, and Android OS
The power unit inside the Huawei Nova 6 5G is 4200mAh in capacity while the Nova 6 gets a 4100mAh battery. Huawei’s SuperCharge fast charging tech is onboard too (40W). As for pricing, the Nova 6 5G will cost $540 and $595 for the 128GB and 256GB models respectively. The standard Nova 6 is priced at $454 and is only available in 128GB flavor. Android 10 based EMUI 10 runs the Huawei Nova 6 5G.
