HTC Desire 12 Plus Specifications
The HTC Desire 12 Plus is powered by a budget level Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC coupled to an Adreno 506 GPU aided by 3GB of RAM. Internal storage is acceptable, to say the least at 32GB. Thankfully, a MicroSD card slot (uses SIM2 slot) that can handle cards of up to 512GB in size is available in the device for expanded storage.
Providing visuals is a 6.0-inch 720 x 1440 Full HD IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 18:5:9 and a very low pixel density of 268 PPI. As expected, the HTC Desire 12 Plus is equipped with a fingerprint scanner at the rear.
Dual cam setup
Photography is managed by a dual camera system: A 13MP sensor featuring an f/2.2 lens + a 2MP depth sensor for bokeh shots. An 8MP (f/2.0) (HDR) selfie shooter is featured up front. Both rear and front-facing cameras can record videos at a resolution of up to 1080p @ 30fps and 720p @ 30fps respectively.
Battery power, connectivity and Android version
A small 2965 mAh battery is onboard the HTC Desire 12 Plus to keep the lights on and also very oddly the device comes equipped with the now obsolete Micro-USB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer requirements.
Coming to connectivity, it has you covered with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, A2DP and EDR, GPS for navigation and location-based services and much more. Thankfully, HTC has kept the good old headphone jack we all have been loving for years.
At launch, the HTC Desire 12 Plus shipped with Android 8.0 Oreo-based HTC Sense UI out of the box.
HTC Desire 12 Specifications
The HTC Desire 12 is powered by a low-end MediaTek MT6739 SoC coupled to a PowerVR GE8100 GPU aided by 3GB on the 32GB internal storage variant and 2GB of RAM on the 16GB internal storage variant. Thankfully, a dedicated MicroSD card slot that can handle cards of up to 512GB in size is available in the device for expanded storage.
Providing visuals is a 5.5-inch 720 x 1440 HD+ 18:9 IPS LCD display and a low pixel density of 293 PPI. Unexpectedly, the HTC Desire 12 does not have a fingerprint scanner. With that said, some sort of basic front camera-based face unlock is expected onboard.
Camera
