AOKP KitKat Nightlies Now Live for Nexus and Several Other Devices

DJ | 27 Dec 2013 | News

This New Year and Christmas brings us some really great presents, post the news of final 4.3 milestone and plans about 4.4 releases, now comes the day we seal when the first tide strikes of the AOKP (Android Open Kang Project) nightlies based on KitKat 4.4. Have you been waiting? Frankly, I was pretty desperate about this.

The first bunch was released for multiple manufacture devices, including the Galaxy Nexus which was unfortunately abandoned by Google for 4.4 support and other mid level devices. Below is the list:

  • Nexus 5
  • Nexus 4
  • Nexus 10
  • Nexus 7 (2013)
  • Galaxy Nexus
  • Galaxy S3 (Verizon, At&t, t-mo, USC)
  • Galaxy S4 (Verizon, Sprint, T-Mo, USC)
  • Galaxy Note 2 (ATT, T-Mo, LTE-Intl.)
  • HTC One (ATT, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mo, Intl.)
  • Xperia Z, ZL
  • Xperia T
  • Xperia V

Nightlies for the rest of the supported devices will be released as when ready. So, you will now be able to taste KitKat with the unique features of AOKP. Not all features from 4.3 release are to follow but shall be soon merged with the passage of time. Downloads of ROM for your device and corresponding GApps could be found here on this page. It is highly recommended to make a complete wipe. You will need to have a custom recovery Installed in order to flash this ROM.
