July 2018 security patch is now rolling out for the Galaxy J8

The Samsung Galaxy J8

Samsung has begun rolling out the 2018 July security patch for the recently released Galaxy J8. This is the first ever software update for the Galaxy J8 since its release. The update is currently rolling out in Brazil and Columbia.  As expected, this update bumps up the security patch to the month of July which contains important security fixes and enhancements. Don’t expect any new or groundbreaking features with this update.

Do you own a brand new Galaxy J8 and so want to stay updated with the latest security enhancements and fixes? Alright, then head over to Settings > Software update > Download updates manually to check for updates. Again, the update is currently only available in Brazil and Columbia as per a report from SamMobile. In case your region did not receive the update, fret not, Samsung will gradually release the updates to more countries over time. Rest assured!
