Popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei’s Honor unveiled the Honor 9N back in July 2018. The phone features a 5.84in 18:9 Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels. The Honor 9N is powered by a Kirin 659 SoC coupled to a Mali-T830 MP2 GPU, 4GB of RAM on the 64GB and 128GB storage variant and 3GB of RAM on the 32GB storage variant. Quite naturally, there is a dedicated MicroSD card slot (utilizes the SIM2 slot) present in the device that can handle cards of size up to 256 GB. A fingerprint scanner is located at the rear and possibly Honor’s flavor of face unlock are onboard the device.
Camera system
Photography is handled by a dual camera setup at the rear featuring a primary 13MP + 2MP depth sensors combo assisted by a single LED flash. A 16MP selfie shooter is up front for the selfieholics out there. The front and rear camera can record videos at a resolution of up to 1080p @ 30 fps.
Power, connectivity and Android OS
A non-removable 3000 mAh battery is onboard the Honor 9N Smart to keep the lights on and also the device is topped up via the obsolete Micro-USB port. Coming to the connectivity side of the Honor 9N, it has you covered with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE with A2DP, GPS for navigation and location-based services and more. Thankfully, the device is equipped with the good old 3.5mm headphone jack we all love. The Honor 9N ran Android 8.0 based EMUI 8.0 out of the box at launch.
Pricing, color options and availability
As for pricing, The 32+3GB and 64GB+4GB variants of the Honor 9N will set you back ₹9,999 and ₹11,999 respectively in India exclusively on Flipkart. The Honor 9N is available in Midnight Black, Lavender Purple, Robin Egg Blue and Sapphire Blue paint jobs.
