A larger Vivo X21

One of the first phones to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, the Vivo X21 was a successful device for the Chinese manufacturer. As such, the company decided to flood the market with variants of the device like the Vivo X21s.

Internal Specs

In an age where most phones can be cheap but powerful as well, the Vivo X21s is no different. The device features the Snapdragon 660 along with 6GB of RAM and an Adreno 512 GPU. The battery department is improved over the X21, however, as the device features a slightly larger 3,400mAh battery, in order to power the slightly larger (6.41”) AMOLED display, which features a smaller and prettier notch. Currently, the manufacturer offers only a 128GB variant of the device.

Camera

Shooting your photos in this device will be no different from the vanilla device. The X21s, features the same dual camera setup, utilizing a 12MP (f/1.8) and a 5MP (f/2.4) lens. For the selfie fans, the front-facing camera is improved to a 24MP (f/2.0) lens.

Connectivity and Software

While the phone features a headphone jack (which is kind of a luxury these days), it also uses a micro USB port instead of a Type-C one. In the software department, the device is powered by Android Oreo 8.1 coupled with the manufacturer’s FunTouch OS. The X21s will probably receive Android Pie in the near future.

Vivo X21s = Vivo V11 Pro?

If you have an eye for detail, you probably already guessed that the Vivo X21s looks awfully identical to the Vivo V11 Pro. Well, that’s because the devices ARE identical. The Chinese manufacturer simply rebranded the V11 Pro, in order to introduce it to its domestic market.

The unit is currently available in China and you can buy it for CNY2,498 ($360) on the manufacturer’s website. It is available in a Starry Night version, with a Pink one coming a bit later.
