Honor 8X Max Stock wallpapers are finally here but before you grab them, let’s talk a bit about the specifics of the massive 8X Max first.
The giant Honor 8X Max is here featuring a gigantic 7.12-inch display
Popular Chinese telecommunication giant Huawei debuted their upper mid-range Honor 8X and 8X Max under their Honor sub-brand a couple of weeks ago. In this article, we’ll focus on the 8X Max. The Honor 8X Max is equipped with the new water-drop styled notched gigantic 7.12in Full HD+ IPS LCD wide 18.7:9 display with a resolution of 1080 x 2244 that makes up for a pixel density of an okish 350 PPI. The performance all you need is handled by a mid-range grade Qualcomm 636 Octa-core SoC (1.8 GHz Kryo 260) coupled with an Adreno 509 GPU aided by 4GB of RAM on the 64GB/128GB variant. With that said, the Snapdragon 660 + 6GB RAM equipped 8X Max is slated for late October release. A MicroSD card slot for expandable storage is onboard. As expected the Huawei 8X Max features an ultra-fast Huawei face unlock and fingerprint scanner onboard.
Photography is handled by a dual camera setup at the rear featuring a primary 16MP (f/2.0 lens) +2MP depth sensors combination assisted by a single LED flash. An 8MP shooter (f/2.0 lens) is featured up front. The camera at the rear can record videos with a resolution of 1080p @ 30fps. The front selfie shooter can record video with a resolution up to 720p @ 30fps.
Battery, connectivity and Android version
A super-massive 5000mAh battery is onboard to provide enough juice to the Honor 8X Max. Coming to the connectivity side of the Honor 8X Max, it has you all covered with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE with A2DP and EDR, GPS for navigation and location-based services and more. A dated Micro-USB port for charging is onboard the Honor 8X Max. However, to make up for this, the 8X Max charges fast enough with the help of the bundled 18W charger. Oh, and by the way, the device features the good old headphone jack we all love. The Honor 8X Max runs on Android 8.1 based EMUI 8.2 which is Huawei’s take on Android customization out of the box.
Pricing, availability and paint jobs
Coming to the pricing and availability, in China, the Honor 8X Max will set you back around CNY 1499/approx. ₹15,800 for the 4GB/64GB variant and CNY 1,799/approx. ₹19,000 for the 4GB/128GB variant. As far as the paint jobs are concerned, it is available in Red, Black and Blue.
Design: the all-new water-drop styled notch looks good on the 8X Max but it still tries its best to be an iPhone X, nevermind…
Design wise, the Honor 8X Max looks sleek and elegant by employing the new water-drop styled notch for the display at the same time resembling the iPhone X a.k.a. the “FruitPhone X”. However, there is no denying the fact that Honor was only and only inspired by the “FruitPhone X” with the dead ringer being that vertical camera module at the back.
