Just yesterday, we shared the stock wallpapers from the all-new OnePlus 6 in 2K and 4K resolutions. Today, we have the OnePlus 6 stock ringtones to soothe your ears with something new.
Chinese manufacturer OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 6, the company’s latest and greatest flagship device yesterday. The smartphone is a significant leap for OnePlus as far as design and builds quality are concerned compared to its previous two metal clad flagships, the 5 and 5T. Speaking of which, at the rear, now, the OnePlus 6 features a beautiful and sleek Corning Gorilla glass 5 glass-on-glass build since the OnePlus X.
Flip the device and upfront the OnePlus 6 follows the 2018 trend that smartphone makers have been following since the past 5 months or so, as in now it features a notch up top that houses the camera, sensors, and the earpiece. Yes, absolutely, the OnePlus 6 retains the chin at the bottom although a tad slimmer than the 5T.
OnePlus 6 technical specifications
Coming to the specifics, the OnePlus 6 employs a largest on any OnePlus device to date 6.28in Full HD+ Optic AMOLED tall 19:9 display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 that makes up for a pixel density of a decent enough 402 PPI. As mentioned earlier, the display has the infamous notch à la iPhone X. The speed all you need is handled by the mighty and powerful, the latest and greatest Snapdragon 845 Octa-core SoC(4 x 2.8 GHz Kryo 385 Gold & 4 x 1.7 GHz Kryo 385 Silver) coupled with an Adreno 630 GPU aided by 6GB (64GB variant) or 8GB of RAM(128/256GB variant).
Yes, you guessed it right, as usual with any OnePlus device there is no hint of a MicroSD card slot for expandable storage. As expected the OnePlus 6 features the ultra-fast OnePlus face unlock and fingerprint scanner onboard. We would like to remind clumsy users out there that this time again there is no hint of any IP rating for water resistance and dust proofing. However, OnePlus proudly claims “your OnePlus 6 is well-equipped to survive a drop in the sink or a spilled glass of water. Just don’t take it for a swim.” Speaking of which, it employs the most basic type of water resistance grading.
Photography is handled by a dual camera setup at the rear featuring a primary 16MP (f/1.7 lens) sensor with OIS + secondary 20MP (f/1.7 lens) sensor assisted by a dual LED flash and a 16MP shooter (f/2.0 lens) up front. The camera at the front can record videos upto 1080p and the rear shooter is capable of recording videos with a resolution of 4K @ 60fps, slow motion 1080p @ 240fps and 720p @ 480 fps. A 3300 mAh battery is onboard to provide decent enough juice to the OnePlus 6 and also the device features the ultra-powerful DASH charging meaning it comes bundled with a 20W (5v x 4A) DASH charger to top it up insanely fast.
Coming to the connectivity side of the OnePlus 6, it has you all covered with WI-FI 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 with for support aptX & aptX HD, GPS and more. A USB Type-C port for charging is onboard as expected. Oh, and by the way, the device features the good old headphone jack we all love. The OnePlus 6 runs on OxygenOS based on stock Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box featuring necessary customization wherever needed.
Pricing and paint jobs
Coming to the pricing, the OnePlus 6 will set you back around $529/₹35,858 for the 6GB/64GB, $579/₹39,247 for the 8GB/128GB and $629/₹42,636 for the 8GB/256GB variant. As far as the paint jobs are concerned, it is available in Midnight Black, Mirror Black and Silk White.
Design wise, the OnePlus 6 looks sleek and elegant. However, there is no denying the fact that OnePlus was only and only inspired by the “FruitPhone X” with the dead ringer being that infamous and controversial notch featured up front. Flip the OnePlus and thank god at the rear, it features a vertical camera module placement that doesn’t look like the one on the “FruitPhone X” but in fact looks similar to the one featured on the Nokia 7 plus.
