Videos have become a popular way to express one’s feelings nowadays. YouTube is undoubtedly the most used platform for uploading and sharing videos, but not all the videos in the world are shared on YouTube. Almost 8 out of 10 videos on the web are uploaded to YouTube and the other 2% by social networking sites like Facebook, Vine, etc. There’s no official way to download YouTube videos, but there are 3rd-party tools, plugins, and applications like TubeMate for Android that allow us to download the videos.

But do you know how to download a video that has been uploaded to Facebook servers? Currently, Facebook does not have any option to download videos to your Android device or your PC. In this article, we’re going to write about how to download Facebook videos on your PC and on your Android device. We’re going to leave an alternative method for each platform, to make it easier for you to choose.

Download Facebook Videos on Computer

The web version of Facebook is what most of the world’s population uses. I myself prefer the web version of Facebook over the mobile version. Just like the easy settings available on the web version of Facebook, downloading a video is easy too.

This method involves nothing but a Chrome browser (other browsers may do), the video, and some brains to do the task. Follow the steps to download a Facebook video.

  1. Log into your Facebook account, and find the video that you want to download.
  2. Click on the video, and wait till it pops up.
  3. Now, quickly replace the ‘www.’ in the address bar, with ‘m.’, and then press Enter.
  4. A new page will open up, play the video again, and then right-click on it, then click on the ‘Save Video As’ option to download it. Refer to the screenshots below to get an idea of the procedure.

Alternate Methods
