Apple announced the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in its annual September event last week. While the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are aesthetically very similar to their predecessors iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, they still have a plethora of new features and upgraded specs to offer.
The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will run on the latest iteration of the OS, that is iOS 10 and brings some significant changes like the new pressure-sensitive home button, 12MP main camera that can capture shots at 2160p, a faster processor, 2GB RAM, improved battery performance, and a surprisingly released feature, namely the removal of the headphone jack.
The iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus are technically dust and water resistant as they come with IP67 certification that means it can survive in 1-meter water for 30 minutes. The iPhone 7 may not be the first waterproof phone but it will be the first smartphones to ditch the traditional headphone jack for wireless AirPods. The phone has been launched in 5 color variants (Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Black and Jet Black) with 3 storage options (32GB, 128GB, and 256GB).
