The Galaxy S3, the bestseller smartphone of the Korean tech giant Samsung has been on top of the software update list. The phone was first to get the latest version of Android from the manufacturer, that is 4.1.2. And now the international Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE GT-I9305 has been receiving the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update.
Samsung has already started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 JB update that will be pushed to all Galaxy S3 LTE GT-I9305 across the globe in phases. That is why, some of you might not get the firmware update notification on Samsung Kies or the OTA update feature on your phone. Keep a close eyes on Kies or keep checking from on your device from Settings> About> Software Update.
Please note that you will be able to get the update notification only if you are on official firmware and not rooted your phone. If your phone is on a custom ROM or you have rooted it, you can still update your Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE I9305 to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware manually. The 4.1.2 firmware posted below fall into two types: the branded ones that are meant for a specific mobile carrier/network operator, and those that are unbranded. The countries that have received the update, for now, are Germany, Portugal (Vodafone), Switzerland (Swiss), Austria (A1), Hungary (T-mobile), Greece (Cosmote), Denmark (3), and Poland (PLUS). If you do not belong to any of these countries, you can update your phone with the unbranded firmware, that is for Germany.

My i9305 received the update today. In the UK on Tmobile/EE. However the lock screen options do not show facebook in the settings for the lock screen ticker. Any suggestions? My phone is showing 4.1.2.

You have unlocked your device, yes you can. But if it is still locked to EE, I would not recommend it to you. You can install (if you are still on ICS) Android 4.1.1:
