The Galaxy Note 4 comes with different carriers launched in different regions of the world. The Note 4 also reached to the most popular Canadian market with the model no. SM-N910W8 reigning the throne by succeeding the Canadian Note 3. The Canadian Note 4 comes with the same specifications as all the Note 4 devices came. a 5.7 QHD display with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7 GHz and is coupled with 3 GB of RAM. However powerful may be the Note 4, the Samsung restrictions lessen it.

Samsung with its Knox security has terrified the Android users, as they no longer have the warranty if the device is tampered as the Knox security bit is set. However, there are many ways to bring back the warranty nowadays and you no longer need to worry about the Knox hell gates. So if you’re eased, here comes the exciting News that the Canadian Note 4 can now be rooted using the most popular CF-Auto-Root developed by the legendary developer Chainfire. So you can now remove all the Samsung Junk and improve your device’s performance.

The CF-Auto-Root firmware flashes the stock recovery and cache along the SuperSU binaries and SuperSU app so that users can keep their devices as close to stock as possible. Flashing this firmware is ridiculously easy if you’re familiar with the Odin flash tool, but it is stupidly dangerous if you do any mistake. So we’re here to guide you through the process of rooting your Canadian Galaxy Note 4.

This Guide is intended only for the Canadian Galaxy Note 4 with the model No SM-N910W8, not for any other device of Samsung. Be extra cautious when you choose the root firmwares as flashing wrong firmwares might result in a bricked device.

Rooting and flashing firmwares will void your device warranty either temporarily or permanently. You alone are responsible for any consequences that might occur during the process. DroidViews or any of its community members shall not be held responsible for any damage to your device.

  • Charge your Galaxy Note 4 above 60% battery level to avoid shutdowns during the process.
  • Enable USB Debugging: Link
  • Install Required USB Drivers: Link
  • Backup your device storage, Contacts, SMS etc. using Google Sync service or any third-party app.

Download CF-Auto-Root Package → Click Here

  1. Download the CF Auto Root package for your Canadian Galaxy Note 4 and extract it to your PC. You’ll get an Odin flashable file in the .tar.md5 format.
  2. Flash the .tar.md5 using Odin. You can follow our exclusive guide on flashing firmware and CF-Auto-Root using Odin → Click Here

That’s it! Your Canadian Galaxy Note 4 is successfully rooted and you’re ready to use advanced applications on your device.

  1. Flashing is easy. But i would like a sufficient sample size to show that N910w8 doesn’t trip Knox.
And the article is wrong, except in Exynos-based galaxy devices, there is no current way to undo tripped Knox warranty status flag.
