“Are you on Facebook?”, or “Are you on G+?”, are the most common questions you are probably asked when you meet someone new. You may wonder what these people would do by knowing if or not you’re on any social networking website. They ask us these questions, because it’s the trend. I can bet most of the viewers reading this post are on some or the other social networking site, like Facebook, Google Plus, and Twitter. Statistics show that over 1.3 million people in the world use Facebook daily. Why do we use Facebook that much? That’s because it keeps us updated, by providing us news from our friends, websites and even family members staying abroad.

Most of the population uses Facebook to communicate, and express their feelings over the internet. On the other hand, Google + is used mainly for the latest news, like technology updates, and reviews. If you’re a person like me, you’re probably a user who uses a ton of social networking sites, each for one specific purpose. What if there was an application which would update you with news you like, in my case, about Android. So I’d love to have news related to it. But isn’t it a pain to Google new topics every day? In this article, we’re going to review an Android application, which is called Prismatic.

Prismatic provides you with the latest news/articles on the basis of your interests. If you’re into astronomy, Prismatic will update you with NASA’s news, and if you’re a geek, you’ll be updated with loads and loads of technology updates. Let us get into detail.

Prismatic is available on the Google Play Store for free. Once you download and install the application on your Android device, the first thing you’ll see will be the sign in/sign up option. Obviously, if you’re using this application for the first time, you’ll need to sign up. You can log in using a number of social networking accounts, like Google +, and Facebook. And, after you successfully log into Prismatic, you’ll be asked to select about 10 topics that you’re interested in, say Technology, Android, Astronomy, etc. Once you select them, you’ll be redirected to the home feed, which displays all the trending articles you like. Take a look at the below screenshots to get a better idea.

Just give it some time and you’ll get addicted to the application! In terms of design, Prismatic delivers a really clean and beautiful looking UI, which also adds up to the advantages of it. With Prismatic, you can follow almost everything you like, and you will find topics related to it the next minute. If you find a specific article of your interest, you can like it, and add it to your favorites to read it later. Also if you like it a lot and feel that your friend should read it too, you can share the article using a bunch of applications like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Google +.

With Prismatic, you get your own profile, in which you can follow anyone/anything you want to get updated with, and see your followers. You can add a topic of your interest, and your Home Feed will be updated. You can save an article to view it later. In the settings tab, there is an option to preload the images of the articles while on cellular data, or on WiFi, so loading will not take much of your time.

Overall, Prismatic is great for people who need to update themselves with the latest information based on their interests, with just a simple tap. I’ve been using it, and am totally addicted to it. You can download Prismatic by clicking the following link :
