Xposed Framework on LG G Flex 2

Pushing the limits when it comes to interesting new technologies and recently trending innovations into their flagships and newer models is what LG has been for quite a while now. When the era of the “curved screen” smartphone started Samsung and LG were one of the first OEMs to launch devices.

While Samsung has taken its process further with the launch of notable phones like the Galaxy S6 Edge, the Note Edge, and the recently announced S6 Edge+, LG also launched the G Flex and its successor the G Flex 2. Curvier and more powerful the LG G Flex 2 surely bound to appeal to the masses to love to flaunt the next best thing in the market.

Now a while ago we had covered a tutorial on how to get root access on the LG G Flex 2, and today we are going to be doing a full guide on how to enable Xposed framework on your LG G Flex 2.

Downloads

Xposed framework.zip

Xposed Installer.apk

FlashFire.apk

[Note: First join the FlashFire G+ community to become a beta tester, then download the app from the play store.]

Caution: For the following procedure you will need a rooted LG G Flex 2, this guide won’t work for you without root access.

For Guides on how to Root the LG G Flex 2 Refer the following links given below:

  • Root Sprint LG G Flex 2 Running ZV6/ ZV7 Firmware

Xposed Framework on LG G Flex 2

Once you download all the required files, we can start with the flashing.

Step 1 – Transfer the Xposed framework (.zip) from above into your LG G Flex 2 internal storage.

Step 2 – Disconnect it from any power source and Open FlashFire and browse to the location where you saved the Xposed framework (.zip) file and flash it. [Do not check Automount!].

Step 3 – The flashing process will take up to 15-30mins, so be patient. Once the process is complete your phone will boot up normally.

Step 4 – Install the official Xposed Installer (.apk) application and you’re all set to try out different Xposed Framework modules on your LG G Flex 2!

If you had any issues while flashing do leave us a comment in the comments section below.

How do I uninstall the framework? Do I use the uninstaller zip and flash it using flashfire? Or would I have to go back to stock because I bought my flex 2 and it came with an sim unlock code and I don’t know if restoring would take away my sim unlock.
