Popular Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC is all set to unveil their flagship device for 2018 on 23th of May, rumored to be called U12 Plus as the credible leaker and Twitterati @evleaks a.k.a. Evan Blass had shared with all of us the renders of the same back in March 2018. Last week, the company took to Twitter to share the same by mentioning “Coming Soon. A phone that is more than the sum of its specs”. This tweet has anticipated all of the fans of the company as well as put a lot of them in confusion as the picture the company tweeted appeared to have contained iPhone spare parts with the launch date written on top of it. However, later HTC clarified that it intentionally used parts from “other” smartphones to indicate or represent how manufacturers just inelegantly cram in jumble of parts into their smartphones, claiming that their next flagship will be more than the sum of its specs (the space in the middle as seen in the image is the HTC’s upcoming flagship). Going by the picture, it seems like the upcoming U12 Plus would be a camera-centric device.

Now coming to the specifics of the device, the U12 Plus is expected to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with either 4 or 6GB of RAM. Storage capacity wise the U12 Plus would come in a 128GB and 64GB variant. A 6in QHD+ OLED panel is expected to provide visuals. Keeping the lights on would be a battery with a capacity somewhere between 3300 and 3800mAh.
