Pixlr – Free Photo editor
If you ever wish to edit photos on your Android device and didn’t try Pixlr – Free Photo editor till now then you’re definitely missing the King of Photo-editing Apps. You can choose from over 2 million combinations of free effects, overlays, and borders to further personalize your image. Pixlr makes you look like a pro, even if you’ve never edited a photo before. Many of its features work online but once you download the effects on your device which takes around 100MB you can edit your photos offline.
Pixlr provides seasonal effects too which are pretty awesome and they last for a limited interval. Unlike other photo editors, this is not just limited to small screen phones but it looks elegant on large tablets too. The only con I observed in the Pixlr is it occupied 100MB of space which isn’t good on budget devices. For users who are very sticky to photo editing, this app is developed just for them.
Adobe Photoshop Express
If you are a pro photo editor then you will not be satisfied with Pixlr alone. Adobe Photoshop is something more you need to edit a photo. It does contain all the important features for editing. It is heavy in size and occupies the largest share compared to all other photo editing apps. Adobe Photoshop on Android is not an easy go editor as it does require basic knowledge regarding layers and other photo mania stuff.
In my tests I have noticed one major con of using this app and that is battery consumption. This app literally kills your battery life and uses maximum juice when you edit your photos. This app is best suited for Tablet users who are backed with good battery and larger screen for easy editing.
This app is tiny, simple and the best casual photo editing app I have ever come across. It has a simple UI and I have noticed some of the users fail to understand this app and how to export their edits. It is easy and simply. Shuffle the effects and adjust the pointers to get the desired edit and then tap on the share button to save the file. Yeah ! The export option lies in the share section. Shift automatically saves your last edit and preview the same when you get back to it. It works on random algorithms and so, if you like the effect you better favorite it because you will never get back that effect. There is a slider adjusting brightness and theming a particular effect.
There is yet another app just alike Shift named Fragment but it comes for few bucks. I regret purchasing this app because we end up liking 1 effect out of 20 moreover the image will be UEO (Unidentified Edited Object, literally). Shift is a lot better and this tiny little app is worth trying.
Sorry, this app is not available.
PicsArt Photo Studio
PicsArt is similar to Pixlr but it is listed low because it offers many other social things which distract us from the editing and it has many pre loaded effects. If you’re hunting down preloaded effect online PicsArt is the choice. Frankly, it has more effects and options than Pixlr but most of them don’t add beauty to the image. The preview and editing are not as comfortable when using Pixlr and UI is sort of trapped and needs scrolls and swiping on smart phones. The type of effects and customization it offers can’t be neglected and you will have a good time editing your photos in PicsArt. So go download and try for yourselves.
Last on the list but not the least. PhotoFunia is not a photo editing app basically but as we said before its unique in its own way. It works only when your online. All you have to do is take your picture and upload and enjoy the various frames on your picture. You can billboard yourself, be a Santa or be on a Obama’s gift portrait and also make your own certificates.
Now you can be a pro with these photo editing apps. Go ahead and download them all and share your experiences. Do let us know which one of the above you admire.
