Google Fit Guide: Everything you need to know about Google Fitness Platform
Google Fit is a fitness app for all of us. This is not an app that works as a social network or provides weekly fitness tasks. Google Fit focuses on simplicity and does a very good job of basic things.
This method has pros and cons, and we will cover them in the complete Google Fit guide.
What is Google Fit?
Fitness apps may be unpredictable. Some of them are feature-rich and require training, while others are intuitively designed but not feature-rich. Google Fit falls into the latter category. Depending on your user type, you may think that Google Fit is the best on the market, or it may be too easy for your needs.
Google Fit itself is a simplified fitness app, but it also doubles as the center of all the health and fitness data collected by some of the most popular apps and devices. gen) is used for sleep tracking, Wear OS Watch is used for daily activities, and Polar Watch is used for training tracking. You can connect all these devices to Google Fit and view all your health information in one place. If you are familiar with the Apple ecosystem, you can think of Google Fit as Google’s version of Apple Health.
What is Google Fitness Tracking?
Like many other fitness apps, Google Fit can collect various health and fitness indicators. All the basics are here. Fitness records your steps, calories burned, distance, altitude, minutes of exercise, and aerobic exercise scores (more on this later). If you have a compatible sleep tracker, it will show your sleep data. Google Fit can also display your weight and blood pressure, but these readings must be manually added to the app. You can also place your finger on the camera sensor of your phone to record your heart rate data in Google Fit.
Google Fit profile and application navigation
You can log in to Google Fit with your existing Google account. After introducing yourself to the app (gender, date of birth, weight, and height), you need to set goals for your activity. In addition to the aerobic exercise score calculated when your heart beats at a higher intensity, Google Fit also uses steps as its main daily goal.
After selecting the lens, you will enter the main screen of the application. The Google Fit application consists of three main areas: homepage, magazine, and profile. Everyone does it.
Homepage: The homepage screen displays an overview of your status and activities for the day. Here, you can see all the metrics listed above (steps, calories, etc.) as well as your recent exercises, training videos on YouTube, and recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Academy of Medical Sciences. Sleep Medicine (AASM).
Diary: Diary can also be called program or agenda. This is a simple scrollable list of all the activities you have recorded, whether it’s a short walk or a long bath.
personal data: On the personal data page, you can adjust your exercise time and aerobic exercise score as well as your personal data.
Go back to the home tab and click on the big ring widget at the top. This will take you to a summary of daily, weekly, and monthly aerobic exercise scores and step count data views. If you want to know more details about the activity statistics of the day, please click on a certain day and you will find all the recorded activities. From there, you can click on individual activities to view more detailed information such as distance, steps, calories, and pace. index.
There is a small floating button in the lower right corner that you can use to manually track your exercise or add activity, weight, or blood pressure readings.
Google Fit also has a dark mode. If you have an Android phone with an OLED screen, the dark mode can help you save some battery life. To enable the dark mode of Google Fit, select the “Profile” tab, then the settings will be enabled at the top of the screen, then scroll down to “Themes.” Set light, dark, or system standards.
