We tested the 160W fast charging, that will not melt your phone
Fast charging is currently one of the hottest innovation trends in the smartphone industry. Some manufacturers, especially those outside China, charge more than 100W of high-end smartphones, so your phone will turn black within a few minutes.
Infinix’s fascinating 2021 concept phone is all about ultra-fast charging. The company claims that with the industry-leading 160W power, the mobile phone can be fully discharged in just 10 minutes. In contrast, the charging power of the iPhone 12 SE series is only 20 watts. The output power of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series is 25W, and the charging speed of the OnePlus 9 Pro is 65W.
Infinix Concept made some bold statements about its fast charging function. But how fast is it, and is it worth charging a small mobile battery with so much power? Let’s delve into the data

Our test records that the maximum power consumption of the wall is 175 W, the USB port of the smartphone is 142.6 W (17.7 V, 8.29 A), and the corresponding energy efficiency is 81.5%. We also tested the concept phone with other universal chargers, but the maximum power I can get is only 19W. Unfortunately, the only fast charging function of the phone is proprietary. However, 19W is not much different from what you see in many modern flagship smartphones, such as iPhone 12 and Concept Phone, in this mode, they can be fully charged in 55 minutes. Although the speed reaches 53 in 5 minutes in 160 W mode, the 19 W load can only handle 11%.
Finally, we tracked the temperature of the smartphone battery during fast charging. Process these software sensor readings for no reason, as they may vary from device to device.
The measured value of the Infinix phone is just above the set 40°C threshold, but only in the last few minutes of the charging cycle. I chose a phone with a maximum temperature of 41.9°C, which is not bad considering the charging level. use
