Getting firmware updates on our device is one of the most welcome things to happen purchasing it. The very new of the arrival of a new version thrills us. And why not, new updates bring new features, improvements in performance and stability. Our device manufacturers keep rolling software updates at intervals. In most cases software updates are minor in nature but sometimes they might be major. Big updates come at long intervals and they are meant to bring a lot of new changes and bump the firmware version to a greater one.

Such a big update has finally started making its way to the Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105 as the users of this phone in Russia are reporting receiving Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware today. As we already mentioned above, the updated is already being served in Russia for now and it will soon turn it face toward other countries. However, if you have the Galaxy S2 Plus with model number GT-I9105 and you are not from Russia, you can still taste the new flavor of Jelly Bean on it. Being an unbranded firmware, it can be installed on any Galaxy S2 Plus that is not locked to a carrier.

    Hi Mr.Rakesh,
First of all thanking you for your prompt reply.
Is there no way to back up my phone’s EFS without rooting the device?

    Hi,

I had updated my S2 plus i9105 using the 4.2.2 update firmware for I9105P (Russia) and it’s working. Now I would like to change it with the 4.2.2 firmware for I9105 (India) replacing the 4.2.2. firmware for i9105P (Russia). When I tried to do so, in Odin there is message (Suceeded 0, Failed 0) coming without start updating. Is that possible to update my device (I905) using the 4.2.2 for I905 (India) firmware?

    Hope your kind reply…
