5 Best Custom ROMs for Samsung Galaxy S8 (Snapdragon)

Best Custom ROMs for Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung launched its latest flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S8 earlier this year along with the Galaxy S8 Plus. However, one of the downsides of the Samsung S8 is that it does not run the Stock version of Android. Instead, the S8 is launched with Samsung’s TouchWiz OS out of the box. TouchWiz is the smartphone OS designed specifically by Samsung for its devices.

TouchWiz OS currently running on the Samsung Galaxy S8 is based on the latest version of Android Nougat 7.0. Besides the features of Nougat, TouchWiz also comes with a lot of additional features and apps. However, these are not always useful and sometimes carrier specific Samsung devices come with pre installed apps and bloatware.

If you prefer to have the Stock version of Android running on your phone instead of the TouchWiz OS, you can always root your Samsung S8 and install Custom ROMs. Custom ROMs are created by developers and are based on the stock version of Android. Unlike TouchWiz, these do not come with bloatware and you can customize and modify them based on your preference.

In order to install Custom ROMs on your Samsung Galaxy S8 Snapdragon variant, you have to first root your device and install a Custom Recovery like TWRP through which you will be flashing the ROM. Follow our guide here to root your S8 and install TWRP.

Once you have successfully rooted your Samsung S8, you can now flash your favorite Custom ROM. To help you in making the decision, here is a list of 5 Best Custom ROMs for Samsung Galaxy S8.
